I attended and graduated from MC college in July 2020, and continuing my training and education at Rootbar. I love to do blondes and women’s styling. I am so excited to be accepting new clients. When I’m not doing hair I love to go to spin classes and spending time with friends and family.

As a Redken Certified Hair Colorist, I specialize in seamless lived-in blondes, dimensional brunettes, bold coppers, and everything in between. Whether it’s highlights, balayage, or all-over color, I customize each shade to enhance your unique style.

I stay on top of trends while always appreciating the timeless classics. In addition to color, I offer precision cutting and hair extensions to elevate your look even further. My goal is simple: for you to leave my chair feeling confident and excited about your hair.

When I’m not in the salon, you’ll find me chasing after my two adventurous boys, running my size-inclusive clothing brand, Lost in Layers, or enjoying great food with friends.

The best part of my career is connecting with my clients, building lifelong relationships, and seeing the smiles that light up my day.

I bring a zest for my craft and a vivacious personality, almost as bold as my favorite lip color! Behind the chair, I’m happiest working with blondes and creating multi-dimensional color magic.

Education is a huge part of our ever-evolving industry, and I’m always learning! I’ve had the privilege of attending courses in coloring and cutting with icons like Vidal Sassoon, Bumble and Bumble, and Redken, just to name a few.

Hello! My name is Taylor,

I’ve been in the industry for about 3 years, and I am a brunette balayage enthusiast, but I love everything from haircuts, to blondes, brunettes, lived in colors and extensions!

I was trained at Est-Elle Hair Academy in Edmonton, and have been at Rootbar ever since.

I grew up in Clive, Alberta, born and raised on a dairy farm, hence my love for all things country! With my time spent away from work, I enjoy seeing my friends and family, going out to new restaurants, camping, and spending some time in the sun!

My priority while having you in my chair is to make you feel the best, most confident version of yourself, while maintaining hair health!

I make it my goal to have thorough consultations before each service to ensure my guests have the best experience at Rootbar.

I have always had a strong passion for hairstyling. I started my journey into the hair industry at the young age of 17, and I have been a specialized colorist for over 17 years. In order to stay relevant with current trends, I have continued my education over the years with extensive cutting, color, and extension training.

With over 15 years of experience in the hairstyling industry, I am passionate about transforming hair into beautiful works of art. My journey began at Aveda Hair School, where I honed my skills in cutting, colouring, and styling.

As someone in the industry, I prefer to have a good consultation, and I believe that every client deserves a personalized experience, which is why I take the time to listen to their needs and preferences. I enjoy all types of hair service such as hair extensions, any colour service and texturize haircuts.

Hi, I’m Shelley!

I’ve been in the hair industry, helping people feel beautiful for 30 years and I LOVE what I do. I’m a Redken Certified Haircolourist and I’ve had extensive education with Redken 5th Avenue NYC at the company headquarters in New York City and in Toronto, Montreal and Calgary. Additionally, I’ve taken advanced training with Martin Parson, at the Vidal Sassoon academy in Los Angeles, and at the Living Proof Lab in Boston. As an expert colour and design specialist, I design for both men and women, taking inspiration from runway fashion to lifestyle looks. I think your hair style is personal and is a reflection of our relationship. I'm a mom, with two amazing daughters that challenge, inspire and make me laugh daily. I run, work out, play ringette and golf, and I value good friendship—especially to share a glass of Chardonnay!
