October's Stylist Spotlight: Lara

This month, we sat down with Lara, one of the talented stylists behind the chair at our Calgary Aspen location, who told us her favourite part of the job is bringing her clients new confidence through great hair! 

Originally from Ukraine, Lara joined the Rootbar team in early 2026 and brings six years of hairstyling experience and her Red Seal certification to the salon. With a passion for beautiful colour, healthy hair, and helping clients feel their best, she believes that hair really is "nature's best accessory". 

Lara loves working with Redken's colour and hair care lines, making them a go-to in her approach to achieving stunning colour and keeping hair looking and feeling its best. Whether you're ready for a fresh colour, looking to maintain your signature look, or simply need a little pick-me-up, Lara brings her experience and passion to every appointment. 

When she's not behind the chair, Lara likes to keep moving. You can often find her enjoying the outdoors or hitting the gym. But some of her favourite moments are the ones spent with her family, her son and her two dogs. 

Lara's Featured Drink: Boozy Iced Coffee

This month, Lara's featured stylist drink is the Boozy Iced Coffee. Rich espresso, creamy milk, and a blend of Kahlua, Baileys, and Disaronno come together for a coffee cocktail that feels like a little treat in the middle of your day. 

And the best part? You can try it at all Rootbar locations throughout October.
