Stephanie Walsh
Hi, my name is Stephanie!
I have been a hair artisan for over a decade and I've dedicated my entire career to making women & men like you, look and feel beautiful/ or handsome, inside and out.
On my journey, I became a professional educator for the KEVIN.MURPHY team. With advanced training in many luxe hair brands, KEVIN.MURPHY, Oribe, Davines, Aveda just to name a few…product knowledge, I believe, is our friend and with the right applications, is a game changer. I have had the opportunity to travel states side to Los Angeles, Minneapolis and Vegas for exclusive advanced training from some of the top leaders in our industry to be able to bring that back for all of you!
My passion for the hair styling arts has also driven me creatively in the world of colour, where I apply modern techniques to deliver beautiful, bold results for all of my clients and guests.

Roe (Brittany) Roebotham
Hi, I’m Brittany, but my friends just call me Roe!
I’ve been hairstyling for two years, and my love for the craft continues to grow each day. At the start of 2024, I made the big move from Newfoundland to Calgary, driven by my passion to expand my skills and knowledge within the hair industry.
I’m beyond excited to join the Rootbar team and can’t wait to see where this incredible journey takes me!
Maddie Ainsley
Hello everyone!
I am Madison but everyone calls me Maddie, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to join the Rootbar Team! My fascination with the art of hair began back in high school, and for the past four years, I’ve immersed myself in every aspect of the hair industry—from mastering cutting-edge techniques to staying on top of the latest trends.
When I’m not behind the chair, you’ll likely find me treasure-hunting for unique vintage pieces, exploring the great outdoors, or spending quality time with my cat, Luci.
With a blend of creative flair and technical expertise, I’m eager to bring my passion to each and every client, helping them look and feel their absolute best.

Bekah Burrus
Hi I am Bekah,
I was the little girl with the hair no one knew how to cut. Curly me would walk into a salon and everyone would run. So began my journey of cutting my own hair. Now my mission is to make everyone feel heard and seen and amplified! Curly, textured, wavy and straight, natural texture is what I celebrate!
I love cutting with a razor, shags, mullets and piecy bobs. 2 years ago I started in school and am continuously taking advanced classes to further my education.
Hair is an outward expression of who we are, and the more we look who we are, the more we can act it!
Writing, thrifting and tattooing are what I spend my time on, and I love a good chin wag :)
Taylor Ronald
Hello! My name is Taylor,
I’ve been in the industry for about 3 years, and I am a brunette balayage enthusiast, but I love everything from haircuts, to blondes, brunettes, lived in colors and extensions!
I was trained at Est-Elle Hair Academy in Edmonton, and have been at Rootbar ever since.
I grew up in Clive, Alberta, born and raised on a dairy farm, hence my love for all things country! With my time spent away from work, I enjoy seeing my friends and family, going out to new restaurants, camping, and spending some time in the sun!
My priority while having you in my chair is to make you feel the best, most confident version of yourself, while maintaining hair health!
I make it my goal to have thorough consultations before each service to ensure my guests have the best experience at Rootbar.

Cassie De Leon
Hi, I’m Cassandra but you can call me Cassie and I’m the new talent for the Rootbar Aspen location! I started my hair journey right after high school and I soon graduated from MC Collage, March 2023! I have always had a passion to do hair and I love to practice make up on my free time! I first got into hairstyling because of the creativity. I am always practicing, learning and willing to challenge myself with new techniques! My goal is to always make my clients happy and to feel their absolute best!
When I’m not in the salon, I love to be out spending time with my family and friends! I am always in the mood to go out, eat and spend quality time together!

Whitney Hutchin
Hello there! I'm Whitney; so happy you’re here. After working in Ontario for several years, I've found my way back to my hometown roots! I hold a degree in fine arts and art history from AUArts here in Calgary.
My passion for the arts and my natural inclination to brighten people's days led me to the wonderful world of hairstyling. With 3.5 years of experience, I am AVEDA trained and red seal certified. While I have a deep appreciation for all things hair, I enjoy edgy haircuts, grey blending, bold vivid colors, and creating lived-in looks. If you’re looking for someone who’s bubbly, a great listener and down to earth, I’m your person! I can't wait to welcome you in my chair!
Hannah Martin
Hi I’m Hannah,
I can remember being in love with hair since I was a little girl. Shortly after graduating high school, I went to Delmar College and graduated in 2019. Achieving a diploma in Hairstyling, and other achievements such as student of the month in April 2019, May 2019. I’m proud to say I have achieved my Red Seal title and attended many education programs to elevate my craft.
I’ve always been obsessed with transformations and just seeing the confidence of my clients radiate after getting their hair done. Having great hair can change everything about someones look.
My favourite services to do are reds, natural blondes, brunettes, and everything to do with long locks including long layered cuts. I also have a passion for vivid colors and fun placements. I am fully certified in weft, and nano extensions installs.
I love creating content surrounding hair and the work I do.
You can talk to me about anything and I will be an open book, and a friend to you.

Hi, I'm Chantel!
I have always had a strong passion for hairstyling. I started my journey into the hair industry at the young age of 17, and I have been a specialized colorist for over 17 years. In order to stay relevant with current trends, I have continued my education over the years with extensive cutting, color, and extension training.
I put a lot of focus into well-communicated consultations, as it's important to fully understand a client's wants and to educate clients on realistic expectations.
My passion truly falls with women's hair, from extensions and hair coloring to simple root touch-ups to highlights, balayage, and full-on color corrections.
I love the accompaniment of completing a big, drastic transformation.
I look forward to helping you reach your hair goals, and I can't wait to see you in my chair!

Molly Clapp
Hello everyone, I'm Molly, and I've been in the hair industry for a solid eight years now. During this time, I've been dedicated to refining my skills and staying ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving world of hairstyling.
Over the years, I've eagerly pursued learning opportunities, I've obtained various certifications that have enriched my journey. As a licensed journeyman and red seal certified stylist, I'm proud to hold certifications in specialized techniques such as Bellami Extension Hair (K-Tips), Vadal Sassoon Cutting, and Bumble and Bumble cutting and styling.
These certifications serve as a testament to my commitment to providing top-notch service and staying current with industry trends. I look forward to bringing my passion and expertise to each of your hair care needs in a professional and relaxed setting.
I love chatting with clients and helping them feel fantastic about their hair! When I'm not busy styling hair, I love spending quality time with my two beloved dogs.

Hi, I’m Sarah!
I was born and raised in Wainwright Alberta. When I found my passion I started assisting at Gracies Hair salon until I moved to Calgary.
I attended and graduated from MC college in July 2020, and continuing my training and education at Rootbar. I love to do blondes and women’s styling. I am so excited to be accepting new clients. When I’m not doing hair I love to go to spin classes and spending time with friends and family.

Hello my name is Diane,
I've been In the hair industry for over 30+ years. I work well with all hair types but excel in fine hair, creating dimension and fullness with both color and cutting techniques. It brings me great joy seeing confidence and smiles on my client's faces as they wave goodbye knowing they are ready to take on the world. Hi I'm Serena,
Hair styling has been my lifelong passion, inspired by the transformations crafted by my grandmother and aunt. I embarked on my own journey as a stylist 14 years ago. I've remained deeply passionate with this industry, continuously evolving and learning.
Nothing brings me greater joy than witnessing the radiant smiles on my clients' faces after unveiling their new look. I cherish the boundless creativity this profession offers, allowing me to not only meet but surpass my clients' expectations, reigniting their love for their hair. I firmly believe that everyone deserves to embrace their best self.
Throughout my hairstyling journey, I've cultivated a keen interest in exploring various styles and trends, particularly shorter cuts like men's hair, bobs, and pixies. Additionally, I specialize in colouring blondes, cutting curly hair, and applying Nano Extensions. I'm dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and fostering creativity. I’m Emma Topp,
Stylist of 12 years, and longtime lover of hair! My passion since a young age has always led me back to hairstyling! My favourite things to do behind the chair is create different dimensional toned blondes and brunettes, lived in foil work, such as balayage and baby lights and of course different haircutting techniques to give you the best hair day every time.
my ultimate goal when you come in is to make you look and feel your best! I always offer a through consultation before each visit!
When I’m not at work, I’m a full time mom but also have my Reiki master certificate and love anything to do with energy work or yoga !
Can’t wait to see you in my chair when I’m back from maternity leave.

I’ve been a stylist behind the chair for over 17 years, and people say you’ve got to love what you do… I put the L O V E in it! ❤️
The best part of my career is connecting with my clients, building lifelong relationships, and seeing the smiles that light up my day.
I bring a zest for my craft and a vivacious personality, almost as bold as my favorite lip color! Behind the chair, I’m happiest working with blondes and creating multi-dimensional color magic.
Education is a huge part of our ever-evolving industry, and I’m always learning! I’ve had the privilege of attending courses in coloring and cutting with icons like Vidal Sassoon, Bumble and Bumble, and Redken, just to name a few.

SHELLEY BREITKREITZ
Hi, I’m Shelley!
I’ve been in the hair industry, helping people feel beautiful for 30 years and I LOVE what I do. I’m a Redken Certified Haircolourist and I’ve had extensive education with Redken 5th Avenue NYC at the company headquarters in New York City and in Toronto, Montreal and Calgary. Additionally, I’ve taken advanced training with Martin Parson, at the Vidal Sassoon academy in Los Angeles, and at the Living Proof Lab in Boston. As an expert colour and design specialist, I design for both men and women, taking inspiration from runway fashion to lifestyle looks. I think your hair style is personal and is a reflection of our relationship. I'm a mom, with two amazing daughters that challenge, inspire and make me laugh daily. I run, work out, play ringette and golf, and I value good friendship—especially to share a glass of Chardonnay!
APRIL BROWN
As the founder of Rootbar and a stylist with 16 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the best educators in the world. My passion lies not only in mastering advanced techniques—such as balayage, blonding, precision cutting, and styling for both men and women—but also in the art of communication and thorough consultations. This approach allows me to transform hair in ways that truly align with each client’s vision.
In addition to my work behind the chair, I’ve had the honor of educating and mentoring other stylists across Canada. Sharing knowledge and helping others grow within the industry is something I deeply value. I also offer colour analysis and styling services for special occasions, including weddings, to help clients look and feel their best on life’s most memorable days.
When I’m not styling hair, I’m focused on running and growing Rootbar. Being an entrepreneur fuels my passion for building a business that supports creativity, innovation, and the personal growth of those around me.
